Police nabs husband for killing wife



KATHMANDU: Sindhupalchowk Police has nabbed a husband on allegation of killing his wife.

Sindhupalchowk police made Phur Chhowang Tamang of Helambu-1, an accused of his wife’s murder on Tuesday.

According to DSP Prakash Sapkota, the accused had killed his wife Sumjyo Tamang amid a discussion on March 20.

Phur Chhowang had killed his wife charging her with fists and batons.

Sumjyo’s dead body was recovered from Doring Community forest few meters away from Phur Chhowang’s hours.

A team of police deployed from Area Police Office Melamchi nabbed the convicted on March 21.

DSP Sapkota informed that the accused would be tried on murder case.
