KATHMANDU: The political appointments made by the government after December 20 have been revoked.

The government had dissolved the House of Representatives (HoR) on December 20.

The appointments made by the government have been automatically revoked after the Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court ruled against the dissolution of the House of Representatives.

The government had appointed chief commissioners and officials including commissioners in constitutional bodies including the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Election Commission (EC) and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana administered the oath of office to the chiefs and members in the President’s office in the presence of President Bidya Devi Bhandari without a parliament hearing.
