PM Cup:  APF vs Karnali, Lumbini vs Sudurpaschim today

KATHMANDU:  Two games are being played under the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament.

Under group ‘A’, departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) is taking on Karnali Pradesh at TU International Cricket Ground.

Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) from group ‘A’ has already secured berth in the semi-finals while Pradesh 1 and Gandaki Pradesh have been out of the competition.

The winner in the match today will reach the semi-finals. With two wins already, if APF defeats Karnali, it will book its place in the semi-finals before playing the final match.

On the other hand, Karnali has to win APF to maintain journey towards semi-finals. It is, however, a hard nut to crack for Karnali to defeat APF.

Similarly, under group ‘B’, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim are locking horns at Mulpani Cricket Ground today.

Lumbini, which has won one game and lost the other, has to defeat Sudurpaschim to maintain the journey towards Semi-finals. Under group ‘A’ Bagmati is atop the points table with six points from three wins and Nepal Police Club is in the second position with four points from three matches.

Sudurpaschim is at the bottom by losing all the two matches it has played so far. If it loses to Lumbini, it will be out of the tournament without playing the last match.
