Nepal sees 708 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 708 new cases of coronavirus while 932 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 574 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 134 from antigen method.

Likewise, there are 171 cases in Kathmandu, 18 in Bhaktapur and 33 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the Valley to 222 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 11 infected patients died of the infection in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death toll to 11,337.
