Karnali government to provide relief to flood, landslide victims

SIMKOT: The Karnali Province government has decided to provide relief to the flood and landslide victims.

A meeting of the Karnali State Disaster Management Council on Friday decided to make arrangements for compensation to the farmers by collecting the details of the damage caused to the crops.

Similarly, the Provincial Disaster Management Council has also decided to collect the details of the houses completely damaged by the disaster and rebuild them in coordination with the federal and local governments.

The council has also decided to make arrangements for the reconstruction of the school buildings and health post buildings damaged due to the disaster by collecting the data.

The Karnali state government will also bear the medical expenses of those injured in the disaster.

The Provincial Disaster Management Council has decided to immediately repair the roads, bridges, drinking water, irrigation and electrical infrastructure damaged due to the disaster.
