Five mountaineers stranded in Mera Peak rescued



KATHMANDU: Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has rescued five mountaineers including four foreigners stranded in Mt. Mera Peak and brought them to Kathmandu.

Issuing a press note, NMA Chairman Santabir Lama said four foreigners and one Nepali guide stranded due to bad weather in the mountain have been rescued at the initiation of the respective companies.

They were returning home after successfully scaling Mera Peak in Solukhumbu district.
