Biratnagar Airport to come into operation from tomorrow



BIRATNAGAR: Preparations are underway to bring Biratnagar Airport into operation, that remained shut down after it was inundated, from tomorrow.

The airport will be cleaned by today evening and the equipment submerged tested and it will be brought into operations from tomorrow, said Utsab Raj Kharel, the chief of the airport.

“We are rendering efforts to complete all the necessary works by today evening. If everything is fine, we will resume operations from tomorrow morning,” said Kharel.

The rain water collected in the airport due to heavy rainfall is receding gradually after it stopped raining since yesterday.
