Muktinath Temple to open from Sept 26



KATHMANDU: Muktinath Temple, which is located in Mustang district, will open for devotees on September 26 after five months. Muktinath Temple had remained closed for pilgrims since mid-April due to COVID-19.

“A decision has been taken to open temple for pilgrims,” said Chief District Officer of Mustang District Shreenath Paudel.

A meeting of the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee held on Tuesday took a decision to this effect.

The temple will open from September 26 as per the direction of September 26, said Muktinath Development Committee.

The temple which is famous from the religious point of view is situated at an altitude of 3,800 meters from the sea level.
