Task-force to submit report to party President Deuba at 5 pm

KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has claimed that the long-overdue dispute seen in the active membership of the party has been resolved, finally.

Former General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula, central member duo Minendra Rijal and Ramesh Lekhak have claimed to have sorted out the membership dispute on Saturday.

They are submitting the report to party President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba at 5 pm today, said Lekhak, a member of the task-force.

The dispute seen in 100 wards of six districts including Bara and Parsa has been resolved, he said.

A central working committee (CWC) meeting had entrusted former General Secretary Sitaula, Rijal and Lekhak to sort out the row by August 19.

The 14th General Convention of the NC which was deferred time and again due to the active membership row has been slated for November 25-29.
