PM has known the power of constitution: Advocate Tripathi

KATHMANDU: Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi, who is one of the petitioners filing the writ against cabinet expansion at the Supreme Court (SC), has said the SC showed Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli the power of the constitution.

Talking to the media after the SC verdict on cabinet reshuffle Tuesday, Tripathi said, “The SC order has hurt the ego of the Prime Minister, who superimposed his dictatorial, arrogant style of ruling. In essence, the PM has known the power of the constitution.”

Tripathi added Tuesday’s SC order spead the message that the constitution was alive. “This message has gone all over the country, the constitution is alive. KP Oli did acknowledge that there was a constitution in this country. “The Supreme Court also upheld its judicial supremacy and the supremacy of the constitution today,” he said.
