NEPSE increases by 79.44 points



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has increased by 79.44 points on Tuesday.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 2913.84 points.

A total of 19.77 million shares of 225 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of 10.28 billion.

The Nepse index had been declining since the Securities and Exchange Board of Nepal (SEB) made public the list of 51 companies saying that there was unnatural movement in the share price.

The Sensitive Index, which measures the trading volume of large companies, also increased by 16.11 points and closed at 536.25.

Janaki Finance, Varun Hydropower, Hydroelectricity Investment Company, Nagdi Group Power, and Panchakanyamai Hydropower saw a positive circuit. The share price of 201 companies has risen. Shares of 15 companies declined while those of nine companies remained unchanged.
