Home Ministry directs security forces to strictly enforce prohibitory orders

Asks officials to be watchful and curb movements against govt



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed the security agencies under it to strictly enforce the prohibitory orders and also curb the movements aliens to it.

According to sources, in a meeting organized by the Ministry at Singha Durbar on Saturday, Home Secretary Maheshwar Neupane directed the representatives of security forces and other officials not to allow any movement violating the prohibitory orders enforced to curb wide-spreading coronavirus pandemic.

“With an eye on the wide-spreading pandemic and the latest political development, the security forces have been instructed to stay alert and restrain any movements likely to take place,” Janak Raj Dahal, the spokesperson at the Ministry said.

The meeting was attended by Inspector General of Police Shailesh Thapa Chhetri, Inspector General of Armed Police Shailendra Khanal and Chief of Central Bureau of Intelligence Ganesh Adhikari, along with other high government officials.
