Disgruntled UML Nepal-Khanal leaders appeal for party unity

The leaders have accused Chairman Oli of conspiring against communist movement

KATHMANDU: Disgruntled CPN-UML leaders, including senior leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal, have accused Chairman and Prime Minister KP Oli of conspiring to dissolve communist movement and have appealed all to work for party unity.

Fifteen leaders of UML’s Khanal-Nepal issued a joint statement on the occasion of the 72nd founding day of the Communist Party of Nepal.

They have also accused party chairman Oli of undermining party unity and mutilating the spirit of the constitution.

“In the past one year the party Chair and PM has humiliated and imposed one crisis after another to annihilate us,” their joint statement stated.

The communist parties of Nepal observe Baishakh 9, April 22 this year, as the founding day of communist movement in Nepal.
