Prachanda-Nepal faction finalizes leadership for 68 districts

KATHMANDU: The Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has finalized leadership for 68 districts.

The faction has picked the district leadership on the basis of a power-sharing agreement.

The former Maoists have got leadership in 35 districts and former UMLs in 33 districts.

Prachanda-Nepal faction, Chairmen duo Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Madhav Kumar Nepal on Sunday had signed a nine-point agreement “Criteria and Basis for Filling Vacancies of the Party Committee and Sister organization”.

According to the agreement, both groups will have their presence in the party committees on a 50-50 ratio.
