Five BOPs established in a day



KATHMANDU: In order to curb the criminal activities along the border areas and strengthen border security, five border out posts (BOPs) of the Armed Police Force, Nepal have been established in Jhapa on Sunday.

Mayor of Mechinagar Bimal Acharya and Deputy Inspector General of APF, Nepal Bansiraj Dahal jointly inaugurated the BOPs set up at Tiring of Mechinagar, Maheshpur of Bhadrapur, Panthapada of Jhapa and Aamgachhi of Gaurigunj.

With the new BOPs, the number of such security posts reached 17 in the district of Jhapa.

DIG Dahal said that 25 security personnel under the command of Inspector of APF, Nepal would be stationed in each BOP.

Dahal stated that the new BOPs were established as per the government plan to set up 37 BOPs at the distance of every four kilometers.
