Two court employees arrested with bribe in Rupandehi

KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested two surveyors at Rupandehi District Court with bribe money.

The commission arrested surveyors Sumit Chaulagain and Manoj Thapa on Friday along with a Rs 5,000 bribe.

A team from the commission’s office in Butwal arrested them on the basis of information and complaint that they were demanding money from the service recipients.

The commission has stated that further investigation is underway after taking them under control from Kothamai Rural Municipality-1, Bogadia in Rupandehi.
