NC Prez Deuba consults with party leaders on no-confidence motion

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Sher Bahadur Deuba has consulted with the party leaders on the no-confidence motion filed against the chief ministers of Bagmati Pradesh and Pradesh 1.

In the meeting held at Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkanta on Friday, the meeting dwelled on whether to go against the chief ministers or to stand with them.

A no-confidence has been filed against chief minister of Bagmati Pradesh Dormani Paudel and chief minister of Pradesh 1 Sherdhan Rai.

The meeting called by Deuba, however, did not come up with a concrete decision on this issue.

According to an NC Central Working Committee (CWC) member, the party will take official decisions as per the decisions taken by the parliamentary parties of respective provinces.

Some CWC members including senior leader of NC Ram Chadra Paudel were present in the meeting.

A provincial assembly meeting of Bagmati Pradesh is taking place today. A no-confidence motion will be tabled in the assembly meeting against Chief Minister Dormani Paudel.
