Nepal sees 290 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 290 new cases of coronavirus while 232 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 252 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 38 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 90 cases in Kathmandu, 18 in Bhaktapur and 38 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 146 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there were three coronavirus-related death in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll has reached 11,577 in the country.

There are 5,242 active cases of coronavirus in Nepal as of Tuesday.
