Dr Shekhar Koirala’s panel looks winner in Morang constituencies



MORANG: Nepali Congress (NC) central member Dr. Shekhar Koirala’s panel has dominated the provincial assembly regional election held in Morang under the party’s 14th General Convention.

Koirala’s panel has won seven of the 12 constituencies under the six constituencies of Morang.

While three members from the party President Sher Bahadur Deuba panel have won.

According to Morang District Chairman Dig Bahadur Limbu, Nara Bahadur Moktan and Rajkumar Lama have won in Constituencies No. 1 (a) and (b).

In Constituency No. 1 (a), which is also the constituency of Chairman Limbu, Moktan won with 130 votes while Lama was unanimous in Constituency No. 1 (b).

In Dr. Minendra Rijal’s constituency, Rajbanshi from Koirala’s panel and Basnet from Deuba’s panel has won.

In Constituency No. 3 (a) and (b), Ganga Yakkha and Jagatlal Chaudhary emerged victorious respectively.
