Demonstration staged in front of Bangladesh Embassy against attacks on Hindus



KATHMANDU: The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Nepal, on Wednesday staged a protest in front of the Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu against the recent communal violence against Hindus and attacks on minorities in Bangladesh.

Representatives of the ISKCON Nepal also met the Bangladeshi Ambassador and handed over a memorandum.

Speaking on the occasion, Rabi Prajapati, ISKCON Nepal Chairman, said that they have demanded the Bangladeshi government to protect the rights of the people of any country to practice their religion.

According to ISKCON Nepal, communal violence broke out in Bangladesh between October 13 and 15, killing eight people and setting more than 600 houses on fire.
