Man held with Rs 8 mln with unconfirmed sources in Bhaktapur

BHAKTAPUR: A man has been arrested with Rs 8 million rupees with unconfirmed sources from Lokhanthali Bhaktapur.

The arrested has been identified as 36-year-old Chitra Bahadur Pun of Galkot municipality-10, Baglung, currently staying at Koteshwor, Kathmandu.

Acting on a tip-off, a police squad deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimi arrested Pun with the aforementioned amount along with a scooter, Ba 49 Pa 8565 on Wednesday night.

Pun has been sent to the Department of Money Laundering Investigation Department, Harihar Bhawan for further investigation, said Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur.
