PM Deuba flies to Sudurpashchim to inspect flood, landslide havoc



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has left for Sudurpashchim Pradesh to take stock of the floods and landslides caused by post-monsoon today.

Deuba flew to Dipayal via Surkhet on a Nepal Army chopper from Kathmandu this morning.

Deuba will inspect landslide-hit areas in Thalara and Chainpur of Bajhang and Dhungad of Baitadi following a briefing by Nepal Army at the military barrack at Dipayal.

Other places in the list for inspection by Deuba include Jogbudha, Mahendranagar (Kanchanpur), Dodhara-Chandani and Dhangadhi (Kailali).

He will return to Kathmandu from Dhangadhi tomorrow, said the Prime Minister’s secretariat.
