Police nab nine trying to smuggle 7.5 kg cannabis to Qatar



KATHMANDU: Nepal Police nabbed nine people allegedly trying to send 7.5 kg cannabis to Qatar.

According to sources, a team of police deployed from the Bureau of Drug Control arrested them from Kapan in Kathmandu.

A team of the Bureau recovered 3.579 kg of cannabis from Urpa Tamang’s room in Kapan and 4.35 kg from Shyam Prasad Roka in the passenger departure room of Tribhuvan International Airport.

The bureau team informed about the arrest at a press conference on Tuesday.
