CJ Rana hearing on writ against NEA MD Ghising today



KATHMANDU: Supreme Court (SC) is hearing on a writ petition filed against the appointment of Kulman Ghishing as the Managing Director (MD) of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) today.

A single bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana is hearing the writ filed by former NEA MD Hitendra Dev Shakya.

Earlier, the hearing on this writ had been stalled at the request of an advocate.

Chief Justice Rana had conducted a preliminary hearing on the writ.

He had asked defendant Ghising to furnish original documents regarding the appointment of Ghising during the preliminary hearing. However, the hearing had been adjourned.
