Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine to be administered to people above 18 years



KATHMANDU: All citizens above 18 years of age will be administered Johnson &Johnson COVID-19 vaccine in Kathmandu Valley from next week.

The vaccine, which can be administered with a single dose in the initial phase, was given to citizens between the ages of 50 and 54, persons with disabilities, refugees, citizens traveling to countries where the Johnson vaccine is mandatory, and health workers who missed the vaccine in the first phase.

However, those above 18 years of age will be vaccinated from next Wednesday after the vaccine is left after administering for two days.

The Department of Health Services had allocated 1,40,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine for Kathmandu.

Even after conducting the vaccination program for two days, there are about 1,00,000 doses of vaccines left and the vaccines will be given to the citizens above 18 years of age.
