Truck driver arrested with 81 kg of cannabis



MAKWANPUR: Police have arrested a driver of a truck parked at Simpani of Manahari Rural Municipality -8 at the Hetauda-Narayangadh road section after finding marijuana smuggled illegally.

According to District Police Office Spokesperson Jayashwor Rimal, the driver was arrested after police found 81 kg and 350 gm of cannabis in a truck (Na 8 Kha 8284) parked on the road at around 3:00 am, Wednesday.

The driver has been identified as Baburam Negi, 35, of Raksirang-4 of Makwanpur district.

The police have launched further investigation into the incident.
