PM Oli says he will surrender due to extreme non-cooperation from all sides

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that he is tired of running the government and has surrendered.

Speaking at a press meeting at PM’s residence Friday afternoon, PM Oli said extreme non-cooperation from all sides, including from within the CPN-UML, had made him to give up.

The PM was of the view that opposition parties were not grasping the opportunity to give an alternative to his government. He reminded that the opposition failed to capitalize on the opportunity in past too.

If opposition parties are not able to provide alternatives in order to save the parliament, he also urged political parties to form a national government under his leadership.

If the opposition cannot form a government pursuant to Article 76 (5) then the House of Representatives will be dissolved as per the constitution and the country will head into mid-term polls.

Therefore, PM Oli calls on parliamentary forces to unite to avert such a situation where the country will go to polls amidst the heath crisis in the country.
