Maoist Center holding Standing Committee meeting today

KATHMANDU: The CPN-Maoist Center has called a meeting of the Standing Committee (SC) Friday afternoon.

According to party leader Ganesh Shah, the SC meeting would be held at the party office, Paris Danda this afternoon to discuss the current political situation and the President’s call to the parties to form a new government.

The meeting will be held after party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” returns from the meeting of opposition parties, including Nepali Congress (NC) Maoist Center and Janata Samajbadi Party held at NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence, Budhanilakantha.

Earlier, a meeting of NC office bearers held on Friday discussed bringing an impeachment motion against President Bhandari.
