NC leader Thapa suggests President’s ouster through impeachment

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Gagan Thapa has called on the political parties to oust President Bidya Devi Bhandari by impeaching her.

Thapa said she has to be ousted at any cost as she has been supporting Prime Minister KP Oli’s unconstitutional move.

He has also asked political parties to oust PM Oli for his unconstitutional steps.

“Let’s not sit idle complaining,” he said adding, “Let’s work together to form a new government and dismiss PM Oli and impeach the president.”

The parliament needs a two-thirds majority to endorse the impeachment motion.
