20th India-Nepal DG-level talks on customs cooperation concludes



KATHMANDU: Officials of Nepal and India have concluded a two-day dialogue at Director General (DG)-level virtually Wednesday.

Both sides mutually agreed on a common action program to facilitate cross border legal trade and counter unauthorized trade. The talks focused on strengthening cooperation between India’s Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs and Nepal’s Department of Customs.

The 20th dialogue was part of regular interaction between customs officials of the two neighbors. The dialogue had kicked off on Monday.

Officials from India’s Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs and Nepali officials from Department of Customs took part in the talks.
