UML leader Bhattarai urges PM Oli to save the party from disintegration

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Yogesh Bhattarai, who is close to the Madhav Nepal faction, has urged Prime Minister KP Oli to take initiatives to protect the party from disintegration.

Bhattarai met with PM Oli at the latter’s official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday morning and urged him to save the party by forgetting all bitter and sweet experiences of the past.

“It is high time you took the initiatives for party unity with a generous heart,” Bhattarai told PM Oli.

In response, Prime Minister Oli said all leaders wanting to come back to the party would be welcomed without any grudges.

Bhattarai had reached Baluwatar a day after party Chairman Oli sent letters to 27 party lawmakers to furnish explanations within two days.
