KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Dr. Shashank Koirala has said Prime Minister KP Oli is not serious about holding the election.

Expressing his solidarity with the Nepal Students Union’s protest at the Tribhuvan University on Sunday, Dr. Koirala said that there was no possibility of conducting the election on the stipulated time due to the dispute between the factions in ruling Nepal communist Party (NCP).

“I don’t think the PM Oli is sincere to holding the elections,” NC General Secretary Dr. Koirala told the agitating students expressing solidarity with their protest, “It is necessary to continue the fight against the dissolution of the House of Representatives.”

However, he reiterated that NC should not go for the joint struggle with the communists.

Dr. Koirala also urged all NC supporters to concentrate on the forthcoming general convention of the party as there is no possibility of the election for HoR.
