KATHMANDU: The government is holding talks with the representative of the outlawed faction led by Netra Bikram Chand “Biplav” in Kathmandu, sources have claimed.

A government minister is holding talks with Chiran Pun, a CPN (Maoist) politburo member, according to the source.

Speculations are that the the government is preparing to lift the ban on the outlawed party.

It should be noted that Prime Minister KP Oli had on the occasion of Democracy Day had urged the rebel faction to join the mainstream politics.
