KATHMANDU: Chairman of Janamat Party CK Raut has said that people are dissatisfied with the performance of the nearly two-third-majority government.
Speaking at a press conference organized by Lumbini Press Club in Bhairahawa Sunday, former rebel leader Dr. Raut pointed out that the two-third-majority’s dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) under the pretext that it was not allowed to execute its plans and policies is an uncommon incident.
“People are disappointed to see all systems tested till now failing one after another,” Raut told reporters adding, “It’s natural for the public to feel frustrated when their representatives fail to keep their promises.”
He also opined that the civil society should not show themselves for or against a particular ideology or party.
According to Raut, the civil society should raise their voice against injustice and atrocities the common people have been experiencing since long rather than showing themselves for or against a particular event.
He denied to comment on the dissolution of the HoR as the issue was under consideration in the Supreme Court but added that if the HoR is not reinstated his party would be ready to go for election.
