Minister Rayamajhi slams Prachanda’s remarks on ‘violent protest’

KATHMANDU: Standing Committee member of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) KP Oli faction and Minister for Energy Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has accused Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda group of splitting the party in the greed of posts.

“Internal contradictions within the two-thirds majority government have forced the dissolution of parliament. It is a battle between progression and regression, “said Rayamajhi, “This fight is about development and prosperity or destruction, truth or false, nationalism or standing against the national interest.”

He claimed that leaders of the Prachanda faction had been campaigning for a no-confidence motion against their own government for more than six months, forcing the government to dissolve the House of Representatives and hold fresh elections.

Minister Rayamajhi also slammed the remarks by Prachanda of ‘launching violent protest’.
