NC Gen Convention: Vote counting for women open category underway; Dila Sangraula leading



KATHMANDU: The vote counting for women under the open category of the 14 General Convention of the Nepali Congress is underway at the central party office in Sanepa.

As of now, Dila Sangraula is leading followed by Pushpa Bhusal and Arzu Rana Deuba.

So far, out of the 1364 votes counted, Sangraula is leading with 825 votes.

Likewise, Bhusal has got 802 votes and Arju Deuba got 728 votes so far.

Ambika Basnet has got 658 votes, Ishwori Neupane 640 votes and Sarita Prasai has got 624 votes.

Out of the 4,600 votes cast, only 1,364 votes have been counted so far.

The vote count which was stalled at 10 am yesterday had resumed from 9 am on Monday.

The vote counting for women Central Working Committee (CWC) members started immediately after the vote counting for men open category was concluded yesterday.

As many as 30 candidates are vying for nine posts of CWC members under women open category.  Prior to this, 35 CWC members were elected under men open category from 99 aspirants yesterday.
