KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has accused some ruling coalition partners of being nothing without the Nepali Congress (NC), referring to smaller parties in the ruling coalition who were part of UML previously.
He claimed that the UML would win the upcoming election without anyone’s help.
Speaking at a program held to exchange greeting on the occasion of Nepal Sambat in Kathmandu Saturday, Chair Oli said that it would not make any difference to the UML even if 10 parties formed alliance against his party. He said, “Not just five parties, be it 10 parties that will campaign against the UML. No matter how many parties, it won’t make a difference to the UML.”
Oli said that those who were walking by holding the finger of the NC after overthrowing their own party’s government were talking about continuing the alliance until the election. “I have not heard NC saying the alliance will continue till the election. Those who cannot walk without holding the finger of the NC are saying this. But, I don’t know how long the NC will lend its finger to them,” said Oli.
Oli said that his party UML was better now, after the trash was thrown. Stating the UML will now move forward with strong unity, he claimed his party would win the election by fighting alone.
He also accused the incumbent government of obstructing development works initiated by the UML-led government.
