Water level crosses danger mark in Saptakoshi; 42 out 56 sluices opened

BIRATNAGAR: A high alert has been issued after the water level increased in the Sapkotashi River on Wednesday morning.

With the water level surging due to incessant rains, 42 sluices out 56 have been opened in the Koshi barrage.

The water flow was measured at 261,000 cusec per second in the Koshi River this morning.

Meanwhile, locals living on the banks of the river have been issued a warning. Currently, heavy rain is occurring in the hilly and Terai regions of Pradesh 1.
