Wild tusker kills husband and wife in Kanchanpur

KANCHANPUR: Two people have been killed in an elephant attack in Kanchanpur district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased have been identified as 66-year-old Dhwaj Bahadur Karki and his wife Madhura Karki, 53, of Shuklaphanta municipality-12, Basantapur, said Police Inspector Karna Bohara of Area Police Office, Jhalari.

The wild elephant entered the village and killed the couple, said he. Police said they have deployed a police team to the incident site and are investigating the case.
