35 houses inundated as Saptakoshi flood enters Gobargadha

Two washed away



KATHMANDU: Hanumannagar Kankalini municipality-13 Gobargadha settlement has been inundated due to the flood in Saptakoshi in Saptari district.

The flood waters have entered into the old settlement since Thursday evening, inundating 30 to 35 houses and washing away two houses.

Mayor Shailesh Kumar Sah informed that the locals are taking shelter in the school after their houses were submerged under water.

Bindeshwor Yadav, Ward Chairman of Hanumannagar-Kankalini Municipality-13 in Gobargadha informed that the old settlement was inundated. “Locals have been brought to the school after rescue,” he said.
