Niranjan Jha appointed GM of Railway Company

KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Niranjan Jha to the post of General Manager (GM) of Nepal Railway Company.

A cabinet meeting on Thursday decided to appoint Jha to the post.

Jha is considered close to Madhav Kumar Nepal, the chairman of newly formed CPN-UML (Socialist) party.

Originally from Rajbiraj, Saptari, Jha is the vice chairman of Youth Association Nepal, the sister organization of the CPN-UML.

Jha has been appointed to the post after former GM Guru Bhattarari, who is close to UML Party Chair KP Oli, resigned from his post.
