PM Deuba and Maoist Center Chair agree to overturn ‘unconstitutional appointments’

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ have agreed to revoke all unconstitutional appointments made by CPN-UML chairman KP Oli-led government.

According to Baluwatar sources, during a Tuesday’s meeting at Baluwatar, PM Deuba and Maoist Center chair Prachanda agreed to overturn all unconstitutional appointments and run the government by making common program between the coalition leaders.

“The prime minister and the Maoist Center Chairman have held the talk on running the government effectively,” said a source close to PM Deuba.

Earlier in the day, Chairman Prachanda and Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav met CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and discussed about running the government more effectively.

During the meeting, the leaders also discussed the issue of revoking the unconstitutional appointments made by then Oli-led government.

The Oli-led government had recently made about three dozen appointments in an unconstitutional manner.
