Nepal records 2,442 new COVID-19 cases, 51 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 548 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,442 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,421 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 1,021 have tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 450 persons in Kathmandu, 53 in Lalitpur, and 25 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 548 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 51 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 3.456 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
