Lions Club Samarpan helps Nepal-Bharat Maitri Hospital run Covid HDU ward

KATHMANDU: A 15-bed Covid High Dependency Unit ward has come into operation at Nepal-India Maitri Hospital in Mitra Park with the support of Lions Club of Kathmandu Samarpan.

Lions Club of Kathmandu Samarpan provided two high-flow and six BPAP machines to the hospital to provide free services to patients, said Deepak Bansal, President of Lions Club Samarpan.

Vice President Lavendra Singh Malla and Secretary Akhil Agrawal said they would continue to provide additional life-saving equipment to help in this COVID-19 crisis.

Pawan Pathak, managing director of the hospital, said that work is underway to open another new ward in collaboration with Lions Samarpan.
