Police raid on Surya Lab on fake PCR certificates allegation



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Police has raided Sinamangal-based Surya Lab on allegations of preparing and distributing fake PCR report.

According to SSP Chandra Kuber Khapung of the Metropolitan Crime Branch, the lab was raided the basis of a tip-off that a fake PCR report was being prepared.

The police recovered four fake reports from the lab.

Surprisingly, the lab was found to offer coronavirus negative report without collecting the swabs of the people.

Further action against the lab operator will be taken in coordination with the Ministry of Health, SSP Khapung informed.
