RPP postpones General Convention

General Convention to be held from June 5-8 in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has postponed its general convention by a month.

The general convention scheduled to be held from May 8-11 has been postponed, according to party leader Mohan Shrestha.

The general convention will be held from June 5 -8 in Kathmandu, Shrestha added.

A meeting of the party’s central secretariat business advisory committee meeting decided to postpone the convention as they lacked time to distribute active membership at the local levels.

Meanwhile, the meeting has also extended the deadline for the distribution of active membership until mid-May.

As many as 4,500 representatives will participate in the general convention to elect new leadership.
