UML’s PP decides to take statute amendment proposal to CC



KATHMANDU: The ruling CPN-UML’s Parliamentary Party (PP) meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar  has decided to take the statute amendment proposal to the party’s Central Committee(CC) scheduled for today.

According to UML Office Secretary Iswari Rijal, the PP meeting which began at 10:30 am discussed on the contemporary political issues as well as the ongoing intra-party feud within the party and decided to take the statute amendment proposal to the CC.

Earlier, the party had formed a three member statute amendment task force led by Chief Whip Bishal Bhattarai on March 18.

The 12th CC meeting of the party is taking place at Baluwatar today.

Office Secretary Rijal informed that the CC will also form the General Convention Organizing Committee.

The UML’s 10th general convention has been scheduled to be held in coming November later this year.
