One million doses of Covishield vaccine arriving today from India



KATHMANDU: A total of one million doses of anti-coronavirus vaccine, Covishield, are being imported on Sunday.

Joint Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari said that the vaccine is being imported through the flight of Air India at 1:30 PM.

As agreed to procure two million of anti-coronavirus vaccines from Serum Institute of India, the first consignment of the vaccine is being brought.

From the airport, the vaccine would be taken to Teku-based freezing center for storage. The vaccine will be administered to people above 55 years of age from coming March 7.
