Provincial Assembly session of Pradesh 1 begins from today

BIRATNAGAR: Pradesh 1 is conducting a provincial assembly session from Wednesday at a time when the intra-party feud of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has reached a new height.

Both factions of the ruling NCP and the main opposition Nepali Congress are currently holding separate meetings to forge their strategies for the provincial assembly session.

A no-confidence motion has been registered against Chief Minister of the province Sherdhan Rai at the secretariat of the Province Assembly.

The meetings of both the factions of the ruling NCP and the main opposition NC are viewed significantly with suspicions and uncertainty over the operation of the assembly session of Pradesh 1.

Deputy in-charge of Prachanda-Nepal faction of Pradesh 1 Rajendra Rai said the lawmakers will be urged to end the provincial assembly session by presenting their welcome speeches.
