Chief Justice Rana writes to Nepal Bar, invites Bar chairman for talks



KATHMANDU: Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana has sent a letter to Nepal Bar Association Chairman Chandeshwar Shrestha, inviting the latter for talks.

Shrestha received a letter from the Supreme Court as the meeting of the Bar Advisory Committee was about to begin Friday. Nepal Bar Chair Shrestha had read out the letter sent by the CJ to advisory committee members.

According to a Nepal Bar official, Chief Justice Rana offered to hold talks at any time in the letter, saying he is ready to resolve the current stalemate through discussion and dialogue.

Stating that he was ready to extend all kinds of help for reforming and strengthening the judiciary, CJ Rana emphasized seeking a solution through talks, the official said.
